MASKENTHINE TRAIL NETWORK: SUPPORTING TRAILS, RIDERS AND YOUTH

The Maskenthine Trail Network is a non profit organization dedicated to supporting the Maskenthine Mountain Bike Trail, its riders, and its youth racing team. 

TRAIL FOCUS:

Our primary focus is the maintenance and improvement of the Maskenthine Trail, the only single track trail within 60 miles

2025: A Year of Progress

Because of your support, we’ve made incredible strides over the past year:

• Infrastructure: Completed major erosion control, bridge replacements, and added exciting new features and berms.

• Community Space: Established a new dirt pump track and picnic area at the trailhead as well as a new kiosk detailing events.

• Navigation: New trail signage was made. A new trail line is being installed this year, with updated printed maps coming soon to help you navigate with ease.

The Road Ahead: Our 2026 Goals

We have big plans for the upcoming season, and your donations make them possible. Our focus for 2026 includes:

• Skills & Progression: Installing skills obstacles near the pump track and building new technical lines to challenge both "little riders" and advanced experts.

• Trailhead Comfort: Installing a sail shade at the picnic area to provide a cool place for families to gather.

• Sustainability: Continuing our tree-planting initiative and repairing the "Frankendumper"—our essential tool for moving material with minimal environmental impact. Incentivize our volunteers. 

• Investing in Youth: Funding scholarships for the Angry Owls to reduce financial barriers to racing and reward kids who contribute "sweat equity" through trail maintenance.

• Connectivity: Maintaining a regularly updated calendar at the trailhead kiosk for group rides, "learn to mountain bike" clinics, and maintenance days. Adding a trail map to the kiosk after the new lines are done.

The pump track was finished late 2025Our 2025 Trail Bosses, these guys spent at least 40 volunteers hours making the trail even better. They are also showing off some rocks that will be used in a new technical line in 2026!
