MASKENTHINE TRAIL NETWORK: SUPPORTING TRAILS, RIDERS AND YOUTH

The Maskenthine Trail Network is a non profit organization dedicated to supporting the Maskenthine Mountain Bike Trail, its riders, and its youth racing team. 

TRAIL FOCUS:

Our primary focus is the maintenance and improvement of the Maskenthine Trail, the only single track trail within 60 miles. This includes:

    ~2025 goals:  Erosion control, bridge and structure replacement, improved signage and maps, and the addition of berms and other features . A dirt pump track and picnic area near the trail head. (Mainly completed , map needs to include a new line being installed this year and will be printed)

    ~2026 goals, install skills obstacles near the pump track, install a sail shade at the picnic area, build technical line features and continue planting trees ! Incentivize volunteers to come out and keep working so hard for everyone.

• The pump track was finished late 2025Our 2025 Trail Bosses, these guys spent at least 40 volunteers hours making the trail even better. They are also showing off some rocks that will be used in a new technical line in 2026!

Maskenthine Bike Trails: Building community , Supporting Youth

RIDERS 

Maskenthine trails offer more than just a ride - they're a community. Since 2002, these mountain bike trails have been built and maintained by passionate volunteers. We believe in fostering a sense of ownership and camaraderie, where everyone can participate in shaping the future of our trails. 

To enhance the rider experience, we'll improve:

     ~Detailed maps and clear signage- Navigate the trails with ease.

     ~ Regularly updated calendar of events located at the kiosk- Stay informed about group rides, trail maintenance days, "learn to mountain bike" events, and future fundraisers. 

     ~ Add technical features for little riders , and advanced riders to increase our skill level. 

YOUTH RACING TEAM

Maskenthine is proud to be home to the Maskenthine Angry Owls, a leading co-ed middle school and high school mountain bike team. Entering their 6th year, these  athletes represent the future of our sport and trails. 

Our goals for the team include:

 ~Scholarships: Reducing the financial burden of participation or reward a kid for sweat equity doing               maintenance on the trail 

 ~ Support for existing team members adding skills sections to the trail 

 ~ in  2025 we were able to purchase some lights for use on night practices
