Thirteen Years, One Mission: Safety

After a year marked by tragic headlines of pedestrian and bicyclist crashes, we must rally together in support of safer roadways for the most vulnerable. But, it's not just a headline - it's a mother, beloved community member, or a child walking to school.

Safety is a complex problem with multiple contributor factors to nearly every crash. But, at Bike Walk Nebraska, tackling safety is at the heart of everything we do: policy, programming, and community education. (Including hosting Bike Walk Give for fellow non-profits, because we can't do it all alone!)

Give a Moment of Joy, Instead of Tragedy

Giving during Bike Walk Give makes it possible for us to keep our Learn-to-Ride classes free to adults and older teens needing to learn or re-learn how to ride a bike. Every participant gets access to trained instructors and a free helmet.

By teaching more adults, how to ride we're building a larger bicycle culture and raising awareness of the importance of safe and accessible infrastructure.
